Lip Blush & Neutralisation
Preparation & Aftercare
Preparation:
-
Keep your lips well moisturised in the days leading up to your appointment and gently exfoliate any dry, flaky skin 24 hours beforehand.
-
Avoid lip fillers for at least 4 weeks before your lip blush appointment.
-
Avoid alcohol, caffeine and blood-thinning medications/supplements for 24 hours beforehand where medically appropriate and safe to do so.
-
If you have a history of cold sores, speak to your GP or pharmacist about antiviral medication before your appointment, as lip blush can trigger an outbreak.
Aftercare:
-
Keep hydrated – Apply the recommended aftercare balm regularly and keep the lips moisturised.
-
Do not pick or peel – Allow any flaking or peeling to happen naturally.
-
Avoid water & heat – No swimming, saunas, steam rooms or excessive sweating for the first few days.
-
Avoid irritants – Avoid spicy foods, alcohol and lip makeup/products while the lips are healing.
-
Protect your results – Once fully healed, use SPF on the lips and avoid excessive sun exposure to help maintain the pigment.
Following these steps will help your Lip Blush look beautiful and last longer!
